Problems are only opportunities with thorns on them. ~Hugh Miller, Snow on the Wind
First, let me preface this new post by extending a professional courtesy.
If you ask me questions, I will share without holding back. It is my belief that as professionals, we should extend such courtesies to each other. Pursuant to that concept, that is my offer to you.
It is my opinion [as a student of Life] that there are effectively (3) types of people.
1. People who make things happen
2. People who let things happen, and finally
3. People who wonder what happened
I also believe that by being involved, you become an active participant in the outcome. Sometimes, you don't effect the result you would like, but at least you tried! And, by being active, you are apprised of things as the develop, as opposed to merely being a spectator when the output / result(s) are made known.
Having said that, we are in unique times. The people and businesses that fair the best will be those that think outside the box...people who MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. As the saying goes,"Necessity is the mother of invention." So, let's start inventing and then keep up the momentum.
Over the past year, I have re-evaluated everything around me, personally and professionally. As I have enacted enormous change in both facets of my life, I am looking at the relationships that I have had in relation to the new ones. Some things are better left in the past (the "dead wood" theory) and others are new or revamped. I care about people, who I spend my time with and who I expend my energy on. Some things never change, others undergo miraculous transformation. That positive energy is what I foster. The negative we can all do without. It is my experience that there are certain univeral principles that apply universally. That is, exude positive energy and you will attract positive energy.
The moral of the story is to be positive and share the energy. Go make things happen.
Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional. ~M. Kathleen Casey
